JW Lees is a family brewery company, founded in 1828 by retired cotton manufacturer John Lees.
Based in Middleton in the North West of Manchester and own JW Lees Brewery, JW Lees Pubs, The Alderley Edge Hotel, The Trearddur Bay Hotel and Willoughby’s Wine Merchants. We’re a sixth-generation family business which employs just over 1,100 people, 141 at the brewery and site in Middleton Junction and 1000 in our 36 managed pubs, inns and hotels, as well as letting a further 107 pubs to our Pub Partners
Hoppy and thirst-quenching amber ale with a sweet tropical lemon nose and a crisp taste with notes of citrus and white grape.
Dark mahogany beer with a sweet malt aroma of molasses and raisings. The taste is of more sweet malts, dark fruits, nuts, apples and a hint of vanilla. There is a stronger, bitter edge to the finish.
Bright golden refreshing pale ale. The aroma is citrus with some herbal notes. The taste is grainy, toasty and lightly bitter. In the finish there is a fruity sultana note with a light grassy hoppiness.
Full-bodied lager brewed with Celeia and Saaz hops, giving a strong citrus zest with malty undertones. Recipe developed with famous chef Marco Pierre White.
Amber ale with toasted malt, light fruit and caramel on the nose and more toasted malt, biscuit and caramel on the tongue. Recipe developed with famous chef Marco Pierre White.
